The Walk — First Room

This is a very small, very ordinary exercise. Nothing here is symbolic. Nothing is a test.

You will be guided into a simple room and asked to notice a few ordinary things. There is nothing to solve.

The point is not to do it well. The point is just to be there and make one small, ordinary movement.

• Don’t try to make it vivid. Let it be simple. • Don’t try to make it meaningful. • If you get distracted, just come back to the last ordinary thing. • When it ends, it ends. There is nothing else to do with it.

Guide

STEP: ARRIVE
Sit at the table. Put both hands on the table surface. Do nothing else yet.
Timing is part of the practice. Shorter is better. Ordinary is correct.
Rule: Thoughts can appear; don’t follow them. Return to object → name → stop.
